REVIEWS-for some time now I have been reviewing Bluetooth wireless headphones in the hope of finding a product that works well and meets all my needs, at least the perceived ones. The mpow M20 True wireless earbuds looked promising with their ergonomic shape and streamlined motor cover. Let’s see.
What’s this?
The mpow M20 wireless earbuds are real Bluetooth wireless earbuds and a powered pocket that allows you to charge other devices as well.
What’s in the box?
The product packaging is shown in the pictures above. The packaging protects the product and all components of the packaging are recyclable.
The mpow M20 True wireless headphones include the following:
Headphones (right and left)
3 pairs of small, medium and large silicone tips
Lid Driven
Micro USB cable
Manual
2 Years Warranty Card
Warning card (“The product can only be powered via a 5V-1A adapter or a USB port. An adapter or USB port with fast current technology can lead to power accidents.”Yikes.
Design and characteristics
My first impression of the mpow M20 earbuds was that the earbuds themselves and the powered bag looked and felt a bit inexpensive. However, I am still ready to at least temporarily neglect the first impressions, which are not particularly positive, in the hope that further evaluation will prove the opposite or that the performance will overcome these initially perceived shortcomings.
Pairing
The first time I opened the cover of the SIM card holder-the last valve in the style, I noticed that the earbuds each have some kind of bracket or a “) “-shaped LED light above the “M” logo-mpow logo. These LEDs alternated in blue and red, which, in my opinion, is connected with the initial pairing of the headphones to one device.
The initial pairing of the mpow M20 earbuds with my iPhone XR turned out to be quite simple, because the earbuds were already in pairing mode when the power was first opened. I entered the Bluetooth settings of my iPhone, then selected “Mpow M20” and the pairing was complete. At this point, the LEDs stopped changing blue and red and remained red, indicating that they were paired, and began to charge into the lid. However, the headphones did not remain paired. I found that about a third of the time I took the earbuds out of the matter, I had lost the paired connection, and in order to reconnect them to my iPhone XR, I had to turn it off, turn it on again, and manually pair it again. It was frustrating and unfortunately is something that was common to all the pairs of real wireless Bluetooth earbuds I’ve tested so far.
In addition, the powered cover contains magnetic connectors that help the headphones find their respective points in the lid every time.
Headphone
M20 headphones have interesting controls. Instead of having more pronounced buttons, they have more of what I would call “touch controls”, which are the large circles on the front of the headphones that bear the mpow “M” logo. They don’t really need to be pressed like a regular button, they just need to be tapped. You can find more information about this feature below. Also, in the photo you can see two tiny holes just below the touch controls, which are microphones that are part of Qualcomm cvc8.0 noise reduction technology.
The headphones have a streamlined, flat and ergonomic shape. It gave me hope that they would stay in my ears during training-I tend to do a lot of PT training, which involves a lot of up / down and side-by-side movements, besides I tend to sweat a lot and have large ear canals, the headphones have a streamlined, flat and ergonomic shape. It gave me hope that they would stay in my ears during training-I tend to do a lot of PT training, which includes a lot of up /down and side-by-side movements, in addition, I tend to sweat a lot and have large ear canals. This combination means that the real wireless earbuds, the same combination means that the real wireless earbuds that I have tried in the past have not stayed in my ears to varying degrees during training. Each auricle has two tiny golden circles, which are points where they come into contact with coupling pins on the inside of the powered lid so that they can be repowered.
Since I have large ear canals, I attached the largest of the three sizes of silicone earplugs to the M20 earbuds. The earbuds have a streamlined, ergonomic shape, which, in combination with the larger size of the silicone earplugs and a slight twisting of the position, fits my ears quite well.even better than all the real wireless earbuds I’ve tried before. This adjustment, combined with the Qualcomm cvc8.0 noise cancellation technology of the M20, has been very effective for me, both when I use them during training and when I sit at my desk at work, they block ambient noise really well and their aptX stereo bass sound delivers deep bass in a very small package.
Final considerations
In general, I liked the functionality and performance of the real mpow M20 wireless headset in general. They are light, and their ergonomic shape also helps them to adapt to my rather wide ear canals, and they remained with a lot of sweat in my ears during strenuous exercises. They sound excellent, and their ability to block out ambient noise is impressive.
